I am a second grade math, science, and social studies teacher. I teach a very diverse class of 79 students. I have students form all cultures and walks of life. I serve all level of students.

"What city do we live in?" This is one example of the types of questions that I get in my classroom. That question has prompted me to search out materials that will enhance my students experience in social studies. We need supplies such as books and daily practice to make this happen.

The books and supplies that have been requested will help my students have a better experience in social studies. Unfortunately, this very important subject is overlooked by some teachers due to the pressure of having to perform well in the subjects of reading, math and science. Social studies is very important and I want my students to be well-rounded when they leave my care.

You have the chance to affect my students. Eventually, they will be the people running our country and don't you want them to know something about it? Please help me make this a reality for my students.
