Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
As a Title I school, which is considered highest poverty, our students are in need of many tools to help them build a stronger educational and athletic foundation.
I teach a very diverse group of students from low-income backgrounds, many of whom lack the bare essentials to play on a sports team.
Our Basketball team is need of a portable scoreboard, along with a carrying case for that scoreboard. Currently we use and iPad with a whistle to keep score, which is not a great way to keep good records during the game. To better assist our team and provide our students with a better game experience, we will need these tools with your help.
My Project
With this Scoreboard our students will be able to have the best experience while playing for their school team. This will also be great way to include other non-athletic students who can keep the scoreboard and provide support from the sidelines.
By having this scoreboard the students can experience the game in the best most genuine way possible.
This has been our goal every year that we have this team. providing our students with every opportunity to succeed. This scoreboard will allow to do just that.
Having this scoreboard will assist us in practice, allowing us to simulate a game with all the stoppages and score keeping. This will better prepare our students for today's game as well as their future in high school and beyond.
