Help Us Keep Our Makerbot Building

My students need painters tape, glass build plates and more filament for Makerbot 3D printer.

My Students

Waiting can seem like an eternity when you are eager to try out something new! Our Makerbot needs some materials to keep printing. We want to keep our 3D printer going!

My students are in a suburban area, but most families are struggling.

They are hard working families that try to do their best for their students. The students come to school eager to learn, and we are proud to have a great attendance rate. We are close to a high school that has been a "Project Lead the Way" school. These students come to our school to volunteer. The students love the older students!

My Project

We have started using our Makerbot 3D printer and the students are very excited to see what projects they can make. We need some glass build plates and tape for the building process. The students are also wanting to make items using the school colors, so we would like to get some new filament. The Makerbot is a terrific way for students to be able to use their ideas to make projects. The week we received our Makerbot an area teenager made an artificial hand for a local child without a hand. The students had also read about a similar event in another area in the scholastic news they read in class. These events have energized our students to see what they can create! We want to keep the creative juices flowing!

Our school feeds into a high school that is recognized for it's science and technology program.

There are so many careers in the future that will be tied to these fields. We want our students to get excited about the possibilities of the future. These materials will help keep our students motivated and building!
