This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Spilled soda, pencil shavings, paper pieces. Classrooms can be messy places, whether from accidents or projects being made with 30+ students. It isn't easy keeping things clean.
My students are hard workers who take ownership of our classroom, volunteering to tidy up or put books away.
In our Title I school, the custodial staff is often stretched thin, and cleaning supplies can be scarce.
My Project
For this project, I am requesting basics to help keep our classroom in tip-top shape this school year. Items such as a broom, small vacuum, Clorox wipes, and hand sanitizer will ensure our classroom stays clean and students stay healthy. While our campus' custodial staff works hard to ensure rooms are clean, accidents happen, and messes get made throughout the day. Having supplies on hand will allow us to tidy up and get back to the lesson.
Having a clean classroom will ensure that we are complying with COVID protocols and staying safe -- something that will help students and staff feel comfortable as we transition back to in-person learning.
