This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Our school library recently re-opened after having been unstaffed since Covid school closures. Unfortunately, due to that long closure, our science and information sections are a bit dated. I am working hard to replace books that no longer have pertinent information as students have shown an immense love for learning.
This selection of new books will allow over 200 of our students to gain access to new and present-day information.
These books were chosen with our children's interests in mind. Outside of fiction and fairytales our kids gravitate towards science and animal books.
Our students already show an immense excitement for visiting the library, my goal with these new books is to continue to nurture their love of reading by introducing up to date information.
