Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
As students tackle math problems, having a timer in view can be a game-changer. It encourages them to manage their time wisely, fostering both confidence and fluency in time-sensitive tasks.
An iPad would be a transformative addition, enabling me to project math problems dynamically and monitor student progress seamlessly.
Its mobility allows me to engage with students throughout the room, rather than being anchored to one spot, thereby boosting interaction and participation. The iPad is also perfect for documenting and analyzing student performance, helping me identify those who might need extra help.
To accommodate students who may miss class or have varying needs, I propose the use of individual timers. These timers will ensure that each student receives the appropriate amount of time to complete their tasks. Given that learning can often be stressful and overwhelming, a personal timer can significantly alleviate test anxiety, allowing students to perform to the best of their abilities.
With these resources, we can enhance fluency, bolster confidence, and make math an enjoyable adventure every day!
