My students need a tabletop textile printer to make shirts for our class. We would like to make them for all of the senior activities so that they have something to take with them.

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Making t-shirts is a great way to bring students together. They spend time together coming up with ideas, designing patterns and building relationships. We would like to help our school come together by making shirts for various projects and help the school come together. This tool would help us
Our students typically come from a low income area of the state.
They are faced with many different struggles each day but work hard and attend school regularly. Most of my students participate in extracurricular activities and are active in school programs such as leadership, sports, and clubs. All of our student body enjoys wearing school colors and jerseys. Most of them struggle to buy them from outside retailers because they are so expensive. This tabletop textile printer would allow them to complete projects in school and help with program fundraising.
My Project
Donating for this silk screen shirt making printer will help our classroom, help our school. The usefulness of this tool will benefit all classes and all programs by allowing teachers and students to design and make their own t-shirts for their own personal use and for fundraising opportunities. This would also benefit the school programs because the revenue generated by the fundraising would help out the entire student body. If we could also sell our shirts at sporting events that would also help our school with funding school programs. This silkscreen printer is a one color printer that is an easy start up printer for students to use. Students could also make shirts to show their school spirit.
When students take their own initiative and ask for tools to help their class and school, I always listen to their ideas.
This particular idea sounds like a sound investment for the school to allow student to take a pro-active approach on encouraging school spirit and school activity fundraising. The students are willing to put in the extra time and work to make shirts and banners to supporter school, please support them, thank you!
