This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are amazing! The school we are at is a Title I-funded school in Arizona. We have a fantastic administration, wonderful teammates, and the best students! My students are very hard workers and also know how to have fun. I wouldn't trade them for anything. I love seeing their faces every morning.
My students have a desire to learn.
They always want to know more, learn more, do more, and read more of everything. Our classroom is our own little family.
My Project
We use many programs on the Chromebooks such as sites that read aloud to the students, spelling, math programs, etc. Many of my students are ELL and need things read to them.
These are especially important during distance learning as many students have distractions in the background or other siblings in school and the head phones will help them to focus on their learning.
The headphones will allow students to be able to hear tests being read to them, watch videos of my lessons and so much more.
Each student will have their own pair of headphones to use daily. In case we get new students or some of the headphones break from wear and tear, we will have some extras. I have 90 students, so this way each will have their own.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
