My Project

This proposal seeks funding to purchase durable headphones and privacy folders to be used in my first grade classroom. With more learning happening through digital platforms, these items will support individualized learning, reduce distractions, and provide equitable access to digital content, including educational software, and assessments. These headphones will also help my ELL and students with learning accommodations by giving them better access to audio support.

In today’s tech-integrated classrooms, students frequently engage with digital learning platforms, testing environments, and multimedia resources; however, many students struggle to fully benefit from these tools due to a lack of access to reliable and durable headphones.

This gap creates challenges in focus, comprehension, and equity particularly for students with learning differences, and ELL students.

My students come from diverse backgrounds and bring their unique perspectives to the classroom. Many of my students come from low-income households, and they often face barriers that can affect their learning including a lack of access to basic school supplies. Headphones will make a significant difference in their ability to focus and succeed.

I am requesting 40 durable headphones, and 20 privacy folders. These will be used daily with educational programs like iReady, and IXL Math and Reading activities etc... Headphones will allow students to focus during independent work, assessments, and personalized instruction.

If funded, each student will be assigned a headphone and share with the other classes. Headphones will be sanitized and stored securely. Students will also be provided with visuals to ensure proper care. With your help, I can create a learning space where every student can focus, grow, and thrive. Your generosity will help my students hear the world of learning clearly and that will make all the difference.
