My students need a bluetooth wireless speaker to clearly hear "Go Noodle" or other web-based P.E. exercises, moves, dances, stretches, and yoga routines.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are active and request at least once a day to get up and move! It is my obligation to allow productive movement which stimulates and encourages living healthy lifestyles. The majority of my students are fed breakfast and lunch through a free and reduced-price lunch program. When they move and experience learning through movement, I have seen a tremendous increase of classwork production in all academic areas. They too have said they feel more alert and excited once they have gotten out of our seats and danced or stretched.
My Project
It is a daily struggle for my students to hear anything projected from my laptop computer. My students request for me to do something about this problem so they can hear what the required moves, steps, and or song that is being played for their indoor P.E. activity or transition movement piece. Often the students in the rear of the room cannot hear anything and become very discouraged. With this bluetooth speaker I can wirelessly connect and project volume that ALL students in ALL areas of the classroom will be able to hear. This will increase participation in our indoor P.E. and will encourage movement.
