My Students
My students are the most inspiring children you will ever meet. They come from some of the roughest backgrounds being at a Title I school and yet they come in each day with a smile on their face and ready to learn. They are so eager to learn new things and collaborate with their peers.
Some of my students are on their own when it comes to learning at home because their parents do not speak English well, or not at all.
If they do speak English, most of their parents work jobs that do not allow them to spend the time helping their child with school work. This makes their time in the classroom crucial, especially learning core subjects like reading and math. It stresses for me the importance of teaching them that they can dream and go far in life.
My Project
My students use computers and iPads daily in the classroom for multiple aspects of their learning. Dollar store headphones are proving to be a short term solution because the wires get faulty or the the connector breaks inside the laptop. Unfortunately, due to 24 students using their laptops they often have to turn them down to barely a whisper, otherwise the noise level gets overbearing and highly distracting for my students with auditory issues.
These Bluetooth headphones will provide a safe way for the students to listen to their computers without having to worry about faulty wiring and connectors breaking.
The best part yet they will help students for years to come because I can reuse them class after class!
