This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

Please help us have fun and work one-on one! I am a 5th grade special education teacher in the Bronx. Our school serves 5th through 8th graders, over 90% of whom receive free lunch. The wonderful students in my 5th grade self-contained special education classroom need help in both English Language and math. They are on different levels, so they need and deserve a lot of individualized instruction and attention. By providing my students with small dry erase boards and the materials with which to use, maintain, and store them, you will be giving them this much needed one-on-one attention. Students LOVE to use dry erase boards! They get very excited to do their work, show it off, and have private time with me. By using dry erase boards, students can work at their own pace and get immediate feedback. During whole class lessons, instead of calling on one student, dry erase boards let each and every student share with the teacher and keeps them excited about learning and participating! Markers, boards, and erasers are fun ways to work and learn at our own pace!
