Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
I am a NYC teacher working in a Title I school located in Queens, where every student receives free breakfast and lunch. I teach many creative ESL students and they are all ready and eager to learn for this school year. My class of 6th and 7th graders come from diverse backgrounds with mixed abilities, and varied interests. I'm eager to help them grow and succeed in every way. My goal is to provide a great education for my wonderful students and help develop each child's unique talent and celebrate their individuality.
My Project
The materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students already have a "home." In other words, I know exactly where everything will go. We just need your help in getting everything through our door! By donating to our project, you will not only help to improve and increase student attention and focus, you will ultimately help to increase their academic achievement. My ENL students will all benefit from having a print rich environment to learn on a daily basis and be ready for college and career in the future.
