it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
This goal of mine is to raise enough funds to get equipment to offer my students access to soccer balls and goals to achieve better physical fitness and wellness.
The school I teach at has a wonderful, caring staff and the best students around, but our equipment needs replacement to provide the best exercise opportunities for our students.
My student love to read and work math problems, but sometimes they need a little brain break. We are in a low income area, and sports/play equipment is minimal. Since my students LOVE soccer, I am asking for soccer balls and nets for them to use during recess and PE.
My Project
As you may be aware, childhood obesity is rising at an alarming rate because of a decreased emphasis on physical activity. Your generous donation of soccer equipment will help break this tradition and provide our children with more opportunities for physical exercise.
I feel like as an educator one major challenge I face is to keep my students interested.
With soccer equipment, I can teach major life lessons such as endurance, confidence, team work, sharing, etc. Additionally, these concepts can be related to other subjects and brought into the classroom. My goal through this simple project is to have a lasting positive effect of my students, and you could help make this happen.
