This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are third graders in an ICT class with 2 teachers who are full of energy. The students have adapted to the challenges thrown at them and are not only surviving but thriving in this very different environment. My students come from very diverse backgrounds. They love reading diverse books, participating in Makerspace activities and STEM challenges, and are very curious. I have a large population of English language learners. They are eager to learn and enjoy every minute of it. My students are both general and special education students. They are all amazing kids! This incubator will allow us to hatch chickens in our classroom this spring!
These students will get the opportunity to hatch chickens while working on Science, ELA, and Math.
In addition, they will be put in a position to show responsibility and compassion. They are diverse learners and this is truly an amazing experience for them that they will remember for years to come.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
