My Students

"Every day, in every way, we're getting better and better!" This is our classroom motto and we say it daily. We strive to make our learning exciting and meaningful.

I have a diverse group of 25 students.

They come from all different backgrounds and experiences. My students are eager to learn and willing to work hard to achieve their goals. They need a lot of variety, repetition, and review to keep them focused and engaged.

My Project

The possibilities are endless when it comes to a SMART board. My class would use the SMART board for whole class instruction, as well as during small group rotations. With a SMART board, my students will be more actively engaged in every lesson. We will be able to go back to previously taught concepts with ease and save valuable learning time with this technology. For example, the SMART board allows us to work on a piece of writing as a group, save it, and come back another day for editing and revising. In math, we could do a series of problems and revisit them later in the lesson or as a review the next day. Imagine how much more my students will understand when they are able to underline and highlight the online version of their student text books! There are countless interactive learning games and lessons for the students to utilize during either small group or whole-class instruction.

A SMART board is an invaluable tool to a teacher.

So much class time would saved because all of my teaching tools would be at the tips of my fingers. I know my students would be more engaged in the learning process. Higher levels of engagement equals higher levels of mastery! I want all my students to achieve and be successful in my class. This tool will make my teaching more effective and the learning more accessible to all of my students.
