This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Every day my students come to school with positive attitudes and they are ready to learn. School may look a little different for our new friends this year but together I know we will make it a wonderful experience for the whole group! I truly look forward to seeing them and helping them learn and preparing them for kindergarten.
Our school is located in a low-income area, our students all receive free lunch and snack every day.
We are always working with our families to ensure our students are getting the necessities in order for them to be successful. No matter what, my students come to school ready to learn their letters, play, read stories, count, and sing songs. It is truly inspiring to watch my students grow and learn throughout the year.
My Project
No one is ever ready for the cold weather! Our Chicago winters can be very cold! Our students are walking to and from school every day and unfortunately many of them do not have the basic necessities such as hats or gloves to keep them warm while outside.
I am asking for hats and mittens for my students so that they can stay warm when they are outside this winter.
With a little help, we can have our students dressed warm and ready for the cold weather approaching. It is really important that our kids are prepared for winter, these hats and mittens will really make a difference!
