Help me give my students the materials that can be used to assess each child's independent reading level.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The students I service live in the South Bronx. Most of the students live below the poverty level and reside in public housing. Currently, I will be working with second grade students in an ICT setting. These students are performing at various levels from on to below the grade standard. The population of the children in my class are either English language learners, students will disabilities and general education students.
This academic year my goal is to spark a love of reading and writing for all my students!
My students are children that require school to be a place where they not only embark on a learning adventure everyday but an environment that reminds them daily; that they are important, that they matter and that we have high expectation for them.
My students are curious little beings that are eager to explore books and tap into their own lives as authors.
My Project
The reading assessment kit will provide the resources that I would need to assess all of my students either virtually or in class. I would be able to determine a baseline for the reading levels for all of my students. This information is crucial in planning both virtual and in-person learning because I would use this data to create individualized, small group and whole group instruction. The assessment kits assess students' oral reading rate, ability to read with expression and intonation and finally measures their ability to comprehend text at a specific level.
