I teach 27 enthusiastic and wonderful second graders in a Title I school. Due to state budget cuts and lack of school funds, extra money for special resources and materials is just not there.
My students are eager to learn, hard workers, and have great pride in their school.
They walk through my door each morning excited to see what we are going to learn that day.
My hope as a teacher is to provide my students with all the resources they need to make learning fun and exciting to help them be successful!
My Project
Last school year my principal bought several teachers different items to be used for flexible seating in our classrooms. For our classroom we received 3 stand-up desks that my students were able to use any time they needed to move and stand to focus more in the classroom. They absolutely loved the desks. My students heard about the different seating we received throughout the school and wanted to try even more flexible seating in our classroom.
I am hoping to provide my students with some special resources they need to help them be successful.
I am asking for four Zenergy Ball Chairs to give my students a tool to use that would give them the opportunity to wiggle and move throughout the day while still being able to focus on work. I believe it can be hard for students to sit still in one place and stay focused for an extended period of time. Kids like to be on the move, and I believe when they are given the chance to move, stand, or even bounce, this helps with their focus, grades, learning, and overall behavior in the classroom.
