My Students

Our school is a Title 1 school with over 90% of scholars qualifying for free and reduced priced lunch.
My scholars are all identified as Talented and Gifted in creative thinking, cognitive ability, language arts or math. They come from a rural community in Ohio that does not always have the resources to provide the most in-depth, real world experiences and as a result our test scores drop yearly! My scholars and I refuse to allow anything to hold us back from accomplishing great things. I want to instill a love for education that will open new doors for my scholars.
My Project
Providing a solid foundation for math will mean the difference between a math lover and math hater. Too many adults say they "can't do math" and I want to avoid that with my students by using an engaging curriculum. By using technology in combination with our SMART resources and my math tricks, we can help every student succeed and learn to love math! Our district has not provided us with any resources for use with the Chromebooks, so these headsets, mouse and cases will eliminate some barriers to using technology. The headsets and mouse will allow for a more engaged, fun experience with math.
Math can be fun, noisy, and exciting for students.
Students can learn with the technology integrated math curriculum by playing math games and working through hands-on experiences. Help my students make a connection to real-world math technology with headsets and mouse, so that their math learning may be enhanced!
