My Students
Have you ever tried to complete a task but cannot find the appropriate supplies? This is a battle my students frequently struggle with. Please help us keep our supplies organized!
I teach a large kindergarten class made up of 20 eager and ready to learn 5 year olds in a high poverty area of South Carolina.
My students come from a low-income, rural area of South Carolina, but are very eager to learn new things. They attend a large elementary school that houses pre-kindergarten through fifth grade.
My Project
My students need book baskets to keep and organize the books they read on a daily basis in our classroom. These book baskets will allow my students to take the books around the classroom with them as they choose spots to read in. The supply caddies will allow my students to keep their table supplies organized when they are working at the tables. This will keep them from losing their supplies and also from having to stop working to find more of a particular supply.
Your donations will allow our classroom to run more smoothly by keeping our books and table supplies neat and organized.
It will also allow me as the teacher to work and meet with individual students as they are reading and writing.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
