My Students
Did you ever have a hard time completing your work because you couldn't find your supplies, or you were distracted by what was happening around you?
My sensational second graders love to learn.
Our class is a mixture of special education (ASD) and general education students. They love to immerse themselves in learning and that is much easier when our supplies are organized. Our school was devastated by Hurricane Sandy last fall and our supply and storage rooms were ruined. This has left us all feeling a little disorganized at times.
My Project
The seat sacks will help my students store their books and every day supplies right at their fingertips. They will be able to spend their time working towards meeting their new tougher standards as opposed to looking for their supplies. The privacy partitions will help my ASD nest children focus on their work when they are feeling distracted or overwhelmed by the other activities that are happening in our room.
This project is so important because when you feel organized and comfortable in your own space, there is nothing that can't be accomplished!
I want my students to reach for the stars this year and meet all their goals. Being organized is step one!
