Help Us Get More Battle Books

Help me give my students access to more Battle of the Books! We would love more titles for our students in our Battle of the Books so even more students can participate!

My Project

Our elementary has a long tradition of participating in The Battle of the Books, where students work as a team to read 10 titles and understand them as best they can. Teams then compete in a quiz bowl style event to see who read and understood the books the best.

This competition engages hundreds of students and hooks them into reading a variety of books they might not have selected on their own.

Students get excited each January when the titles are announced, and can't wait to get started reading. Unfortunately, we currently don't have enough books for every 4th and 5th grade student to check out a Battle Book, which can frustrate students and keep them from participating.
