This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 25 students. They are cute, curious, silly, and excited about learning. These seven and eight-year-old students want to succeed in school.

I teach eager learners who want to learn!

Learning to be successful is very challenging with all of the budget cuts that affect the classroom. Ninety-five percent of the students are English language learners, and the adults in their household have a minimal English language grasp. They also come from very low-income families, most of which are single-parent-run. They all get free school-provided lunches and breakfast from a Title I school. Teaching students in the 21st century has become a challenge.

Our class always says, "Do not follow your dreams. Chase them and catch them!"

My students are very eager to learn and stay in shape. But, they need the correct equipment.

My Project

85% of the youth of today are out of shape. The students that I teach need some sports equipment to help them learn some fun healthy games to get in better health. The jump ropes will help them with stamina and muscle support. The different balls will help them develop hand and eye coordination. Also, the balls will help them get great exercise instead of sitting down and doing nothing.

Regular physical activity can help children and adolescents improve cardiorespiratory fitness, build strong bones and muscles, control weight, reduce symptoms of anxiety and depression, and reduce the risk of developing health conditions,
