it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are identified as having Learning Disabilities, Speech & Processing Delays, as well as Emotional Issues. They require individualized/group assistance in a small classroom setting. Our district is considered below poverty level with an enormous amount of minority and bilingual students.
Our students with disabilities learn best with the use of technology in our classroom.
Unfortunately, not all classrooms are equipped with the necessary items needed to help this students. My students benefit from visual presentations and hands-on learning using a SMART Board. Will you help us?
My Project
Students with disabilities greatly benefit from the use of technology in the classroom. My students learn best through use of visuals, interactive projects and hands-on experience. A portable SMART Board for our small classroom would benefit our students greatly! They will be able to watch the teacher present information using large visuals on a screen, can go up to the board and interact with the lesson (hands-on) and will build their confidence. Many classrooms already have these technologies but unfortunately, our classroom does not have the funding to offer this great tool for our special needs students.
Children need individualized and small group help to assist them with dealing with their disabilities and the challenges of doing well academically.
Technology has shown, when used correctly, to improve scores, as well as self esteem. These students need motivation and need to ENJOY their success. It's hard enough dealing with a disability and the stress of trying to keep up with their peers. Will you help me get these wonderful students caught up with their peers?
