This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I teach 3rd grade at a Title I school that can run low on funding. I want to give my classroom family every opportunity for success in their learning. To do so, they need basic classroom supplies like a pencil box to keep all their individual supplies. Having the donut straws will also help them feel special on their birthday. It will build a sense of classroom family and belonging. Having their pencil box will help them organize their supplies and give them responsibility to keep track of them. Having recognition of their special day will also help feel open enough to allow for learning.
