This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

My students are young, excited learners that thrive when provided with the necessary materials. I have been teaching Math and Science for many years and am about to embark on a new chapter of my career (Teaching 6th grade English and Social Studies). I would like to provide my future students with a library that is composed of books that other students had recommended as being the books that help them become passionate about reading.

I listen to my audience and in turn I have had the opportunity to grow as a teacher.

I will continue to listen to my audience as I have made it my mission to do my job to the best of my ability. Please help me motivate the next generation of leaders to find a passion for reading books such a Hatchet, Wings of Fire, Harry Potter, and even Judy Blume. This library needs to be diverse to meet the needs of the different Lexile levels of my students.
