This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My students are energetic, passionate and diverse. They love to express themselves, participate in teams and clubs inside and outside of school and explore different areas of our city. They are on the cusp of their elementary school career, about to embark on unique paths that will shape their lives. Their diversity is an asset to our class, providing a variety of interests, perspectives and opportunities yet it also makes it challenging to meet and exceed the needs of all students on a consistent basis.
My Project
Creating google slide presentations for their peers, working on individualized reading passages, shared projects on google docs, collaboration on digital classrooms...the sky's the limit for my creative and energetic language arts students and technology. In our diverse and creative classroom, it can be quite a challenge to meet the needs of each student. These chromebooks will help differentiate instruction and support our workshop model.
Providing my students with reliable technology not only motivates and excites them, but also gives them valuable practice the with the collaboration and tech skills they'll need in their future academic and professional lives.
Each chromebook we add to our cart gets us closer to our 1:1 goal!
