My students are currently learning core subjects in both English and Chinese. They need to complete reading and math activities on printed copies, but they often cannot get the copies right away. Teachers in our school have to request printed copies in advance and will need to wait for a week to get the copies, so it is difficult for us to modify and deliver lesson activities on paper. I believe it's important for students to practice writing by hand, especially when they are learning different subjects in dual languages. In addition, my students are going to create projects that allow them to support local charities. They will need to print materials on paper for their projects.

My students are Mandarin speakers and are first-generation Americans. They are bright, hard-working, motivated, and on different learning levels when they come to my classroom. My students absolutely love solving challenging problems and puzzles that relate to their lives and interest them. They are not afraid of taking academic risks and are eager to explore new ideas in all of their classes. They enjoy learning and expressing their ideas in different ways. They rarely miss a school day and are always ready to participate and work together when given the opportunity.
