My Project
Kindergarten is a time for growing as a learner and as a friend. The tools being requested in my project are needed to allow students to "discover" and grow.
Play doh, kinetic sand, coloring tools, and dramatic play toys will create an atmosphere for collaboration, conversation, hands on manipulation and FUN!
This is my 15th year teaching kindergarten and I love the excitement that my kids bring to the table by working together and using hands on tools.
We will use "discovery" time each day to allow the students to use dramatic play in the classroom kitchen using play food and role playing. Play doh will improve fine motor skills in a creative manner and allow for conversations and inventive play. Kinetic sand enables students to build and interact. Lastly, markers and paper will illustrate originality and offer ample opportunity for discussions and suggestions in creating works of art together!
