Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

I have 22 wonderfully diverse students in my class this year speaking six different languages. I teach at a STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, Math) Magnet school.

My students are hard-working, sweet students that come to school ready to learn.

They are excited about learning, excited about their friends and excited about the world around them.

My Project

I want to develop skills in growth mindset and social-emotional learning in my students by providing journals to help them work on developing a positive and optimistic approach towards learning. The materials requested (the growth mindset posters, motivational stickers, journals, and writing posters ) are all aimed at developing a stronger mindset.

I want to teach my students that a growth mindset is something you can develop and make stronger.

The growth mindset library will teach my students that hard work and perseverance will help generate positive results. I want to create a classroom atmosphere that helps cultivate a positive learning environment year-round.
