Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Polymer clay is such a fun and engaging material with so many project possibilities. My students have enjoyed making polymer clay space monsters, wearable pin trios, and Chinese spirit guardian sculptures in the past and are eager to explore even more techniques in the future.

Learning how to build armature for their sculptures instills unique problem solving skills.

The students who have gotten a chance to try it were eager to learn this new skill. With more polymer clay available, all students will gain this experience.

Fun drawing supplies are quite popular and need to be frequently replenished. Engaging students with quality materials goes much more smoothly than allowing them to struggle with old inferior supplies.

Finally, my special education students will be so excited to use the building and pattern matching sets. We must meet students where they are while still pushing them to learn and grow. My life skills students deserve quality activities to enhance their learning through play.
