This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
I strive for my 5th grade reading classroom to be a welcoming, comfortable, and safe environment for students to learn. Many students come to class with their minds on their physical needs, making it hard to concentrate on learning. My goal is to have and maintain a Self-Care Cart that holds health items, personal hygiene items, and snacks. Students can practice self-care by getting items they need when they come to class, increasing their capacity to learn. Having a self-care cart would be an amazing addition to our classroom.
