This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

These furniture pieces will help transform our classroom into a space that supports all types of learners.

By creating clear, flexible zones—like a quiet reading nook, an engaging small-group workspace, and a cozy calm-down area—students will have more choice in how and where they learn best.

This structure encourages independence, focus, and emotional regulation on a daily basis. With clearly defined spaces, transitions will be smoother, our classroom will feel more welcoming and organized. Routines are so important. These changes will help my first graders thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.
