This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Children need an environment where they can feel comfortable, supported, and safe. That is why I am requesting sensory tubes, sensory mats, and other sensory resources to create a classroom calming corner that students can utilize when they are having a difficult time and need a break.

Social Emotional Learning is more important than ever.

We need to meet the social and emotional needs of our students. That is why I want to start this important work by creating a calming corner in our classroom and making it an inviting and safe place for our students!
