My Students
I work in West Philadelphia where the families have very limited resources to help support their children's literacy needs. After a year of not being in the building, my kids are so excited to jump back into learning but need some basic resources.
These kids need the essentials.
These students need everything from folders to pencils. Setting up a classroom in April is weird, but we can’t wait to get the ball rolling!
The students I teach are excited to learn and happy to be a part of our school community. However, materials and supplies are almost non-existent and need to be purchased by the teachers. Students here love to read and need all the support they can get.
My Project
We are just about ready to start our brand new year and can't wait to jump right in. The students are brimming with smiles and ready! We just need a few more essentials to get the ball rolling!
Our students could use some new crayons to show their creativity across the subjects, especially in first grade.
We also could use some hooks and new plastic bins for our markers and supplies. This will help with organization and know where things are kept in the room.
