My students need a digital camera, a camera kit, blank DVDs and DVD sleeves to create and keep memory books and a dvd of their first experience in school.
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Do you remember your very first experiences in school? Don't you wish you could have had a memory book or a movie that captured those first wonderful memories? That's what I would like to do for my Kindergarten students!
I teach wonderful Kindergarten students in a high need school.
We constantly go on trips, take educational walks around the community, and have celebrations of what we have learned. The children love when I take pictures of these things and make books with them. They also love to reflect with each other on what they learned and how much fun they had. The problem we face now is that we no longer have a camera.
My Project
Our classroom camera was recently in an accident and broke. We used this camera to write class books about science, social studies, and to document class trips and events.
Our class desperately needs a new camera so I can use the pictures to continue our learning in school with photographs and to create memory books with my students of their first year in school. I would also like to make them a DVD slide show of our memories that they can keep forever. I feel this would be a great thing for both the children and their families to always have and look back on.
