This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Our students come from all parts of the city. They come from a variety of different economic backgrounds with over 80% of our students receive free lunch. The budget for simple things, to be able to play a sport, such as athletic gear, uniforms, balls, bats gloves, etc., needs to be divided between 10 other teams in the building which makes it difficult to get the necessities needed every single year. Our Varsity Baseball team is currently in need of new uniforms for the start of our season. It is mandatory that all our students are geared with matching uniforms in order to be eligible to play during the season. With your help, we will be able to get our season underway.
My Project
This project will go an extremely long way into helping our boys get ready for the season. As much practicing and game-planning that we do throughout the season, the pre-season is even more important to be able to get in shape.
The Bowflex dumbbells will help our boys train before the season gets underway.
Now only will they be able to train, they will be able to train smartly since the dumbbells are adjustable and can be stored really easily. This helps avoid injuries. It helps maximize training repetitions. And it helps with keeping track of progress throughout the training period.
