This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
Each child brings something special into our classroom. They all come from a unique family background, including various cultures and languages. The school in which they attend has a network of supportive teachers and administrators.
They lack some of the resources that schools in more affluent communities have the privilege of interacting with.
We come together as a group multiple times a day. My first graders are very eager and creative. They need extra resource from which I can help enhance those creative minds and love of learning.
My Project
Not only are these kids learning to read, but they are also learning to be creative and use their imagination to innovate new ideas. I have requested gallons of paint, because my students are very artistic, but our school is very limited to art supplies. As an individual who really enjoys art and pottery, I believe it is important for my students to use their creativity by participating in fun art projects that relate to our objectives. That being said, I also want my students to become better writers. I have requested for writing grips because it is important to teach a first grader the correct way to hold a pencil. Additionally, I will be able to create differentiated materials to meet each of my students' needs, and create colorful and joyful classroom materials to make learning fun.
Donations to this project will help prepare some very deserving first graders for a bright and creative mind!
Please consider helping our future and make a huge impact in their lives!
