I have the privilege of working with a group of incredible Kindergarten students. I feel honored that I get to be their first experience with school, and it is my goal to create a classroom that fosters a love of learning.
My students come from a variety of backgrounds.
Some of my students are English Language Learners, others are from military families. I have students in foster care and others that come from single parent homes. I work hard to build a positive classroom environment which fosters a love of learning, no matter what background the child is coming from. This project will support that learning environment.
My Project
Our current playground balls are so old they no longer bounce! It is really sad to watch these young children try to bounce balls that only come an inch or two off the ground. Our current balls are well loved and have reached the end of their life span.
This project will provide new playground balls that students can bounce around the playground and use to shoot hoops into the basket on a daily basis.
Hand eye coordination is being developed in Kindergarten and using bouncing balls is one way to develop this skill, however our current playground balls do not allow for this skill to be developed.
This project will also provide an outside alphabet bowling set to help reinforce letters in a fun and hands-on way.
