My special education program will be moving to another building next school year. I will be blessed to have some of my current students as well as students that I have not taught before. Due to the growth this year I have written new goals they are working towards. In order for my students to excel our classroom needs games to extend their knowledge on place value. Also, they need practice with multiplication, division, number operations, and other concepts to be successful in 3rd and 4th grade.
Helping them use numbers in a variety of ways will help them build their math knowledge and increase their ability to solve problems independently.
Creating an engaging centers approach to learning about math will increase their confidence when solving math problems and apply what they learned in different formats.
