My Project
Growing up I never experienced school the way kids do now. I never had the opportunity to receive a hands-on experience. Everything I remember was, "Open your books and turn to page..." It was mostly boring and I did not remember most days. Now, it seems most teachers want to compete to see not only who teaches best, but who can teach in the most rewarding and creative way to encourage and engage their students and ensure they learn and are involved almost every step of the way. It's a complete 180 from when I was in school.
I am new this year to teaching and want to instill every new and exciting opportunity to invite my students to enjoy each opportunity and have a hands-on journey through ELA with me.
I want them to learn in an entirely different way than I did growing up so that they can remember for years to come. The only way this is possible is through the amazing materials I have hand-selected here.
These tools are each dedicated to and tailored for my class and provide an invaluable opportunity to deepen their understanding of science, technology, math, ELA, and the arts through active exploration and creativity. By engaging in projects that spark curiosity and critical thinking, students can build a strong foundation for lifelong learning.
