This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
The Academy for Business and Finance is a three-year high school program.
We are California Partnership Academy that collaborates with business members, alumni, Regional Occupation programs and the Department of Education to develop the new generation of entrepreneurs and create the best community San Leandro has to offer.
We currently run a student store, have an entertainment group, beautify the school, have networks with businesses, and alumni, run internships and mentoring programs, apparel group, have philanthropic projects and much more.
We are the entrepreneurial leaders of the future.
50% or more of our students fulfill a California Department of Education at-risk criteria.
My Project
Our classroom is located in a portable surrounded by asphalt. The SLHS Academy for Business and Finance would like to beautify the area to make it more welcoming for all students. In addition, we have a student-run store in a portable and believe that a welcoming space will help us bring more students and teachers in our space. Building community and helping students learn the value of aesthetics in a student-run enterprise. We believe that with your help we can improve the environment and morale of the entire campus. We are grateful for all support you can provide in this endeavor.
