My Project

I teach at a low-income school with over six hundred, incredible students who face daily challenges, but still come to school each day with bright smiles and eager hearts. They show up ready to learn despite the obstacles they may face outside the classroom.

What they need is a calm, welcoming environment where they feel safe and supported; a space that invites them in and helps them focus.

A classroom rug would provide just that. It would give us a designated area for group learning, storytime, and quiet reflection, all while adding warmth and comfort to our room.

My students work hard every single day. A rug might seem like a small thing, but to them, it would mean so much. It would transform our space and brighten their days in a way that is truly priceless.
