I need help strengthening and expanding my teaching practices so that students see themselves not only as individuals but also as members of communities who are empowered to change those communities and the world!

My Project

Any student I've touched would tell you the thing they hear from me most frequently is, "You're not the only one here!" I say this not only to keep lines quiet as we move through the building, but also because they need to know that they share space with others and how they show up affects everyone around them.

Through greater knowledge of self, my students will have deeper understanding of their individual impacts on their communities.

Students who are thinking and acting with their communities in mind make choices and decisions that uplift everyone.

Students will participate in Yoga asana practices and learn Yogic philosophies to support them inside and out of the classroom. By engaging in the physical and intellectual practice of yoga students will gain knowledge of themselves and develop tools for self-regulation.
