"Technology is nothing. What's important is that you have faith in people, that they're basically good and smart, and if you give them tools, they'll do wonderful things with them." ~Steve Jobs. My students are smart, great kids; they just need the tools of technology to do wonderful things.
My students are very creative, ambitious, inquisitive children.
We are part of a low income school. We are in a high need for resources, but we do not lack intelligence. My students deserve to have the same as everyone else, economics should not play a factor in education.
My Project
I am requesting 2 iPads in order to access information and be skilled in technology.
My students will be able to use the iPads to access information, practice their letters, numbers, reading, writing, etc. Science and social studies research will be easily accessible; the possibilities are endless. I know that my students will be able to use these tools to open up a new world of possibilities for us in our classroom.
Together we may bring a wonderful resource into my classroom.
Students will be able to use google to find information, and my visual, tactile learners will also get the stimulation they need to encourage academic success. It starts in Kindergarten and grows from here.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
