My Project
As a first-year teacher stepping into a 2nd grade classroom for the first time, I’m filled with both excitement and purpose. I want my classroom to be a space where students feel safe, supported, and inspired to learn every day.
To do that, I need help creating a warm, functional learning environment.
Right now, my classroom lacks the furniture needed and engaging books that help kids feel truly at home in their learning space.
I’m asking for furniture and a diverse classroom library to build a space where students can explore, imagine, and grow. A strong classroom library with a wide range of genres, reading levels, and characters that reflect my students' identities is key to building literacy skills and a love for reading. I am also looking for supplies to make my classroom more manageable as a first year teacher. This includes a laminator, a classroom library display, a rolling cart for supplies, and other essentials needed for everyday.
Many of my students come from communities with limited access to high-quality books and resources. These additions will not only support academic growth, but also foster independence, creativity, and confidence.
As a brand-new teacher, I want to give my students everything they deserve—and your support would mean the world to me and to them.
