My sweet second-grade students are striving to increase their reading fluency and comprehension each and every day! In order to help them achieve this goal, I will need to provide them with engaging, adventurous literature that they can connect with as 7 and 8-year-olds. Come along with me as I strive to increase their reading fluency AND engage them in new adventures to experience! I believe that by giving them a variety of books to choose from for book clubs, they will be highly motivated!
If I am able to provide my students with brand-new, exciting, enjoyable stories for their literature circles, I can hook them on reading for a lifetime!
I will use these new book sets to offer them an alternative to center time! At this point in the school year students are bored with the everyday routine. I'd like to introduce Book Clubs! My students will be able to choose from a variety of book club books specific for second graders, allowing them to choose their own adventure in reading!
