Help The Wiggle Worms Part 2: Flexible Seating Options
Help me give my students flexible seating options! Last year, with donor help, I was able to get wiggle stools. This year, I would like to add more seating options for my students.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
In my classroom, we focus on becoming better individuals by working together. I encourage my students to tackle each day and each lesson in teams. We celebrate the learning gains we make. We use our failures as opportunities to learn. We believe mistakes are proof that we are trying.
The students in my room face challenges at home and in the classroom.
School is a place where children can feel free to express themselves, ask questions and learn about the world around them.
My Project
Children love to move around. Jump, run, bounce, play, the list goes on and on. In a traditional classroom, students are in desks and chairs the majority of the day. No walking, no talking, raise your hand. Sounds boring right? It's actually exhausting to sit and learn all day.
It is my mission to make my room an engaging, comfortable environment where students are active in their learning.
When students are able to move about and sit where they are comfortable, their walls begin to come down. When students feel safe and at ease in the room, they will be able to focus on what matters: their learning. When the focus is on learning, that's when those amazing "Ah ha!" moments happen; that's when goals are reached; that's when creativity can take over. That's when meaningful learning takes place.
This project will fund 2 large Flex-Space Balance Ball seats and 5 Wobble Seat Cushions that can be added on top of regular chairs or placed on the floor (double the fun!). Help me create a dream classroom.
