My Students
Do you know how frustrating it feels when you know you have something, but you just can't find it? Teachers and students often encounter this dilemma and would benefit from an organized class full of labels, inspiring bulletin boards, and more. A silhouette cameo machine is an amazing tool for this.
The Froggies are Kindergarten students who just started to attend school all day.
Many of these students come from loving families, yet live in poverty or very close to it. Our school has around 80% of students that qualify for free or reduced lunches and we also have a large and very diverse English language learning population.
My Project
A Silhouette Cameo machine assists with fancy and intricate paper designs and has the ability to cut designs and labels into vinyl, magnets, etch glass, and more. I can use the machine to create inspiring bulletin boards, motivating paper goods like bookmarks for students to take home, and most importantly I will be able to create vinyl labels for classroom supplies. Students will thus have an easier time finding materials and will be able to spend more time focused on learning.
This project is extremely versatile in the outcomes it can create for the Froggies.
The primary goal is to help organize our classroom, but I have seen teachers also use the Silhouette Cameo tool to inspire and motivate with awesome bulletin boards and reward items for students to take home (Did I mention it can make temporary tattoos!?).
